The recognition scheme
Identifying quality products that improve skills and knowledge
Are you an academic institution, professional body or training provider whose work contributes to the creation of better places? Do you want to stand out from the crowd?
Do you provide courses, programmes or resources which help sustainable communities professionals work better, improve their skills and knowledge and share best practice? If so, the HCA is offering you the chance to gain recognition for the work you do.
We’re launching the recognition scheme by asking our partners to tell us about their work. We’re looking for partners who share the core values about creating better places; by enhancing community or professional understanding of place-making and encouraging different groups to work together. Examples of products which can be submitted for recognition include:
- Learning programmes
- Training courses
- Events, conferences or workshops
- Best practice or toolkits
“Recognition enhances the currency and application of our course among housing professionals. We put our course through the scheme to gain sector recognition of the quality and the content of the product, it allows prospective students to make an informed choice about the appropriateness of the product for their professional needs.’’
Tass Hussain, programme manager, housing studies
An independent panel of experts from the sustainable communities sector will assess and approve products using the criteria for the scheme.
An administration and independent assessment fee of £250 (excl VAT) is payable per product.*
This non-refundable fee is paid per product submitted to be recognised and must be paid in advance of the product being assessed by our panel of independent experts.
Get recognised, get noticed
Our aim is to create a high-profile list of recognised learning programmes, resources and best practice to ensure practitioners working across the sector can make a clear choice to further their own skills and knowledge. Recognition from the HCA will demonstrate to your stakeholders the quality and best practice of your products and the contribution you make to place-making. And practitioners working in housing, regeneration and the communities sector will be able to see the benefits of using your product.
Read the FAQ’s for more detailed information on the submission form and process or alternatively download our submission guide document.
